Report Asteroid Observation Results
Complete the form to report your results. You will need the following information:
- The Group Code ID of your object.
- The X and Y coordinates of your object in each image from the set of observations.
- You can also use the form to share any comments you have about the object.
We'd like to be able to let you know if we find something interesting or unusual in the images. If you are happy for us to do so, please make sure to log into your account before you submit your results.
Get Observations
The observations that we need you to analyse are listed in the table on this page.
Measure The Positions of Asteroids
Once you have found the NEO in all of the observations by "blinking" them, the next step is to measure the position of the NEO. We need to know the pixel coordinate of it in each image. To find this, you can use the Image Examine tool in LTImage.

How Astronomers Find Asteroids
Even the closest asteroids are so far away that they look like "dots" in the night sky - just like stars! So, you might think it is very hard to spot them, even with a big telescope.
