What another amazing week we have had with our 2017 work experience students. There were five great reports and presentations, choosing the winners was a tough job but in the end we selected the Planet Transits project for the best report and Supernova 2011fe for the best presentation.

We have had some wonderful feedback from our students...

"It was absolutely fantastic and I hopefully made lasting friends in the process."

"Very informative, given lots of information and a great introduction to how research works within physics."

"Brilliant! I loved seeing how actual astronomy is done and now have even more passion for the subject (if that’s possible)."

The staff at the NSO would like to thank all of our helpers this year; Ben Mummary, Chris Collins, Chris Copperwheat, Claire Burke, David Hyder, Harriet Brown, James Forshaw, Katie Holyhead, Maisie Rashman, Niamh Fearon, Phil James, Rhana Nicholson, Rob Williams and Steve Longmore as well as all the students who make this week such an enjoyable time for us.
