Read All About it! Man on the Moon!

How carefully and accurately can you make sense of non-fiction text? 

When the Apollo 11 astronauts became the first crew to successfully land on the Moon it was front-page news around the globe! Read the article published in the Guardian newspaper on 21st July 1969 and then answer the questions. All the information you need is in the text!

By the end of this activity you will:

  • Have used information contained in non-fiction text to answer questions.
  • Discovered the answers to any questions you got incorrect.
  • Learned how the Apollo 11 mission was reported on in UK newspapers.
